What is it we love the most about the latter weeks of Summer before it turns into Autumn? Is it the kids going back to school? Nay, as we enjoy families that visit us as much as couples, individuals and grown-up groups – no, what we enjoy the most are the plethora of car shows that come in to keep the festive energy going as we transition from Summer to Autumn. Cars are subliminally a pretty big deal in Sevier County as our region in the South remains widespread as big a fan of motors and steel technology as ever, as well as the fact that we require so many of them to get to and around Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg and Sevierville in the first place. When you combine that with the enthusiastic party atmosphere and fun car shows bring to their brands’ devoted fanbase, it becomes little wonder that many look towards this part of the calendar as one of the highlights of the year!

Great Smoky Mountain Jeep Invasion

“The Jeep© Club Invasion gathers thousands of Jeep© enthusiasts to the beautiful Smoky Mountains every year. Over 16,000 people and 8,000 Jeep© vehicles were in attendance, and we are seeing more interest than ever. Our 7th annual event will be held August 23rd-24th, 2019, at The LeConte Convention Center in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. We will be featuring over a hundred vendors within and outside of the Center. Additionally, we are holding a variety of events, including a Show and Shine competition for those wishing to impress with their build. Shades of the Past Hot Rod Roundup

Where: Dollywood’s Splash Country
“Roll on into Dollywood’s Splash Country for the 37th annual Shades of the Past Hot Rod Roundup. This roundup will be one for the ages with over 2,300 hot rods expected to compete for the grand prizes consisting of a 1932 Ford Hi-Boy Roadster and a $10,000 cash prize. Spectators fee is only $10 a day with children under 12 allowed free admittance. Roam the grounds and take a look at all of the hot rods or find a deal at the giant swap meet. Ford F100 Truck Nationals – 42nd Edition
