“Back to school” is on everyone’s mind, but as of writing, it’s only actually been Summer for slightly more than a month. Summer doesn’t actually end when school begins (for some, not even when you’ve got whole families going back to school!) so the Smokies continues on with some interesting events that grown-ups can enjoy (and most you can bring the kids with if possible) coming in August and September. Great Smoky Mountain Jeep Invasion
August 22-24, 2024
“The Smoky Mountain Jeep Invasion will be held at the beautiful LeConte Center in Pigeon Forge. This is an indoor and outdoor event that will feature an array of national, regional and local Jeep accessory vendors. The Great Smoky Mountain Jeep Invasion is an annual event hosted by the Smoky Mountain Jeep Club of Maryville, Tennessee. This event is a vendor-driven event open to all Jeep enthusiasts. Anyone who owns or loves Jeeps is welcome and encouraged to attend this event.
Held inside the beautiful LeConte Center, this year’s invasion will be packed full of vendors and spectators alike, enjoying all things Jeep! Don’t waste time commuting from your hotel to the event. Make reservations at a hotel near the LeConte Center.”

Sevier County Fair
August 27 – September 2
Good news about the fairgrounds. We recently met with the Sevier County Facilities Manager about the plans for our fairgrounds and came away with positive news. We are now in a 5 -10 year rebuild plan with the county that will start this year.

The Exhibit Hall: Showcasing exhibits from folks in our community like you. Whether photography, floral, produce, or arts & crafts there is something for everyone. Come see who won the Best of Show. - Livestock
No Fair is complete without the Livestock Shows. Check the schedule to see what days your favorite farm animals will be showing in the Livestock Barn. - Contests

Bear-Varian Beer Festival
September 15 – October 31
“Bear-Varian Beer Festival is a two-month culinary extravaganza celebrating the flavors of the season with entertainment, food, beer, and cider.
